Our Founder TEELA ALLEN is a body inclusive, Licensed Marriage and Family Psychotherapist in California who is extremely passionate about creating a space where individuals can feel safe, seen, and heard. Having well over a decade of experience working in various advocacy capacities to help meet the needs of children, families and individuals alike, Teela started as a Boys & Girls Club teen in North Omaha where she was born and raised. After moving to California for Graduate School and obtaining her Masters in Clinical Psychology, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, she later became an Area Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach where she managed and ran multiple Club sites. There, her love of community and passion for healing work ignited and expanded.

Over the last nine years, Teela has been doing Social Work through a clinical lens for LA County's largest Child Welfare agency in the Nation, while holding therapeutic space for various communities and organizations throughout Los Angeles County. Teela integrates her knowledge in trauma and grief recovery, post-traumatic growth, gut health, neuropsychology, mind-body connection, spirituality, culture, personal/professional development, attachment, parenting, and relationships into a unique integrative holistic approach that helps her clients to thrive in all areas of life. 

As a Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider, Peristeam Facilitator, and Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT-200), Teela maximizes the way she brings the body into balance by integrating culinary medicine, yoni/lingam steams, and trauma sensitive yoga into her treatment approach.

Teela also gives back to her community by way of sitting on the Advisory Board for The Kollab Youth Workforce Development Program which is a 501(c)3 public charity organization created for middle and high school students. Kollab program helps youth explore career opportunities in business, STEM and other emerging 21st century careers that are high growth and high wage jobs. Kollab Youth ensures our Los Angeles County youth have the skills and knowledge they need to contribute to the global economy.

It is Teela's passion and calling to be a light guide that aids individuals in understanding themselves at their core and inspiring them to connect to their divinity, their internal resources, their intuition, and their voice!
